The Adelaide Zen Group is formally affiliated with the Diamond Sangha in Hawaii and follows the form of practice originating there.

The Diamond Sangha, especially through the teaching of Aitken Roshi and his successors, places a strong emphasis on Zen practice in everyday life and highlights the important roles that relationships, work, families and all the ordinary conditions of life have to play in the practice (and vice versa).
